Beautiful Rum Island Spring Is Right Next Door
Rum Island Retreat is located next door to Rum Island Park with free access to the Santa Fe River and the beautiful, clear, freshwater springs. It’s your gateway to canoeing, boating, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, sunning and more.
The park at Rum Island is free to all that wish to come and swim, fish, boat, picnic. It is owned and maintained by the Columbia County Parks and wildlife. During times of flood, the park is closed. For information about park closures and other issues, please call 386-719-7545. The park is closed for maintenance on Tuesday mornings until noon. The park is also closed at night.

Driving Directions to Rum Island Retreat
From I-75, take exit 399 and follow 441 into High Springs. Merge onto SR 27 and drive thru High Springs, continue on 27 out of town, and across the SANTA FE RIVER. Turn left onto County Road 138 (blinking yellow light) and go two miles. Take a left onto S.W. Rum Island Terrace (brown sign says RUM ISLAND PARK) and follow the road around. Just around the first curve you will see the address on the gate, 1246. The telephone pole also has the #1246. Turn right into the driveway. You will then see a painted fence 340 ft down the entry drive way. Turn left at this fence. Just to the left of this painted gate is our Rum Island Retreat dual gates with our sign. Continue through the gates and up the road to the cabin.

When you arrive, look for our painted fence out front. (See photo below.) Drive down our entry driveway, turn left at this painted fence. We’re at the top of the hill. Our river rental home is nestled in the woods on a hill above the river. It’s just a short walk down the path to the river and into the park. Please see the property map below.
